Phil Volan has earned a
reputation among an ever-widening group of fans for his strong
fingerstyle guitar playing and soulful voice, which have developed
and matured in Colorado’s Rocky Mountain region over some thirty
years. He also performs with duo partner
Joleen Bell,and
sometimes as a trio
or quartet adding other musicians such as
on bass, guitar or mandolin, or on fiddle and mandolin, among
others.
For several years,
Phil partnered with popular singer/songwriter Joe Uveges (see
recordings.)
He has opened for or performed with such well-known artists as Suzi
Bogguss, Phil Keaggy, Chuck Pyle, Tuck & Patty, David Bromberg,
Bryan Bowers, Pat Donohue,
Jonatha Brooke,
Wind Machine, Acoustic
Eidolon, Chris Proctor, John Stewart,
and John Gorka.
Phil has extensive experience in the
recording studio with nine CD releases, and session work on many
others.
